This February, the Strobel Design Build team attended the annual gala hosted by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Tampa Bay Chapter. This event celebrates and recognizes exceptional work completed by NARI-Member contractors in the Tampa Bay Area. Strobel Design Build has been a member of NARI for several decades, and each year we submit projects for awards and attend the gala as a team. 

This year, five submissions were made by Strobel Design Build, and five submissions were awarded first place.

The categories were:

  • Residential Bathroom
  • Residential Kitchen
  • Residential Interior
  • Entire Home

We are incredibly proud of these achievements. Hard work, dedication, and quality craftsmanship all come together to deliver award-winning projects. The opportunity to celebrate these accomplishments as a team is something we cherish each year.

Here is an excerpt from St. Pete Life Magazine Article titled ‘Historic Home Goes From Drab to Fab with Strobel Design Build’:

Tampa, St Petersburg, and St. Pete Beach all boast rich histories. One of the oldest and best-preserved neighborhoods in this area is nestled on the southern tip of St. Pete Beach. Just south of St. Pete Beach’s Don Cesar Pink Palace, you’ll find the quaint beach community of Pass-a-Grille Beach. Settled in 1886 by army veteran Zephaniah Phillips and his family, the area was already known among Spanish and French fishermen for its fruitful waters.

Zephaniah built the first home on Pass-a-Grille, and among one of his first homes on the Pinellas County beaches. Many homes would be built in the years following this initial settlement. These early residents would use a ferry service to cross the intracoastal waterway between St. Petersburg and St. Pete Beach. It wouldn’t be until 1919 that a local developer would build a bridge connecting the beaches and mainland St. Pete. In 1928 the Don Cesar, famously known as the “Pink Palace” of St. Pete beach would become the crown jewel of the area.

]]> The team at Strobel Design Build was honored to receive the first place award in the category of Residential Kitchen between $100,001 and $150,000 at the 2021 National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards. 

Due to its constant use and traffic, it comes as no surprise that your kitchen is one of the most likely rooms in your home where you will feel the need to remodel. Whether it is outdated, the functionality is no longer working, it has significant damages, or you simply want it to feel more modern and luxurious, Strobel Design Build is ready to help you remodel your kitchen.

For this specific project, our clients were interested in updating their kitchen through a comprehensive remodel where they hoped to achieve a modern, open concept that allowed space for entertaining while also cooking for friends and family. The wish list for this remodel included expanding the kitchen size while better incorporating it into the living space of the home. 

The client’s vision of their dream kitchen was ultimately achieved by pushing back and removing walls, reconfiguring the footprint of the space, and adding an island to the kitchen. Strobel Design Build was happy to work with this client and help them achieve their dream kitchen.

After completing this project, Steven Cunningham and his wife were so happy with the results that they left a glowing review for the Strobel Design Build team:

“My wife and I had been contemplating redoing our kitchen for a few years. We had engaged a designer, but after months of no activity, reached out to Strobel Design Build. They not only brought design services to the table, but also the construction side of the equation. After several meetings and walk throughs with their team, we started just before Covid hit. We asked for, and received, their ideas and listened to their advice. Our project involved much more than just a kitchen as we expanded to update most of the interior, from flooring to ceilings, laundry and baths, relocating fireplaces etc. it was a major project.

The subs they engage were top shelf and we got to know most of them over the course of our  ever expanding project!

Several weeks after the end of the project, I told Gary our job supervisor (who had become a good friend), that I had one regret: I wish I had placed the handles of my kitchen faucets on the left, instead of the right side. We had a good laugh and I told him that was on me.

We feel like after it was all said and done and over the course of a 5 1/2 month project, we had gained new friends.

The quality of their work was first class and we would recommend them to our family and friends.”

]]> The team at Strobel Design Build was honored to receive the first place award in the category of Entire House Remodel between $750,001 and $1,000,000 at this year’s National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards. 

There is no better way to refresh your home and make it feel new again than with an entire home remodel, and the team at Strobel Design Build is happy to help transform your living space to give you the home of your dreams. 

For this specific project, our clients were interested in remodeling their entire home through a comprehensive renovation. They had hoped to update the kitchen and bathrooms, and achieve a French countryside aesthetic throughout the living spaces. The wish list provided by the client included changing the aesthetic of both the interior and exterior of the home, improving the functionality of the guest suite, and updating the kitchen and bathrooms.

When this client hired Strobel Design Build, they had already begun working with other contractors, but ultimately found that the team at Strobel Design Build was best suited for the job. Our team completely tore down what was already started to the studs, and worked with the client to achieve their vision and give them the home they had always dreamed of.

After completing this project, our clients were so happy with the results that they left a glowing review for the Strobel Design Build team:

“My wife Nena and I wanted to do a complete interior remodel of our 4600 SF home that was built in 1993. This included a complete gutting of the interior and moving the staircase and adding an elevator. We had architectural plans and interviewed several custom builders.

We met with Mark Zdrojewski, the owner, and immediately felt comfortable with him as he understood our vision and goals for this remodel. We were comfortable with the proposal for pricing and timeframe to complete and chose Strobel Design Build to do our project.

As always happens there were unforeseen obstacles that occurred during the remodel and also the pandemic hit just as we had finished drywall. It was a great challenge that Mark along with Mike Z and Troy were able to help us navigate the challenges successfully.

We were very happy with the finished outcome and would recommend Strobel Design Build for similar projects.”
